A short list this month, mostly periodicals…
New Books March 2015
This month’s new books include recent volumes of several genealogy society periodicals and a few more military books. In addition, we had a researcher interested in Kansas Mennonites, so I found some online genealogies and linked to them from the catalog.
New Books in the Library (February 2015)
Most of the additions in February are online resources to help you learn about the Chisholm Trail. To read an online resource, simply go to the library catalog entry as usual — there will be a “read the book” link that will take you directly to the book.

Watch the Rootstech 2015 Presentations Online!
RootsTech 2015 starts tomorrow! Can’t be in Salt Lake City by 8am? No problem! They broadcast a full day of presentations, including the glitzy keynote presenters (this year including Donny Osmond and Laura Bush), ONLINE for FREE.
Just go to the RootsTech website. Starting tomorrow, the main page will have the streaming video. Today, you can find the presentation schedule here.
If there’s interest, we’ll set up the projector at the library on Saturday, so come watch on the big screen with us.
Can’t clear your schedule for 3 full days? The presentations will be on the RootsTech website for several weeks after the conference.
New Books in the Library (January 2015)
Thanks to a couple of generous donations, we have lots of new books in the library, including a lot of Kansas yearbooks and several books on the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. They’re all on the shelves, so come on down!

Annual Meeting March 28
The MHGS Annual Meeting will be March 28 at 11am at the library. We will be voting on a new mission statement and electing new members of the Board of Directors. There may be snacks. If you are a society member, please attend!
We’re still finalizing the wording of the mission statement. If you have thoughts, please email Elaine at president@mhgswichita.org. We’ll distribute a proposed statement well before the meeting.
