MHGS volunteers have collected all the obituaries published in the Wichita Eagle and Beacon newspapers since 1955.  Obituaries from 1955 to 1995 are in binders on the shelves at the library; newer obituaries are in electronic files on the computer at the library.  These obituaries are indexed on this website.

If you find a reference to an obituary you would like to see, you can visit the library during our regular hours or make a research request.

Volunteers at the Wichita Public Library have started an index to the obituaries in the microfilmed newspapers; they have started in 1954 and are working backward.
