When?<\/li>\n<li>What do they look like?\n<ul>\n<li>Like blanks in the pedigree chart<\/li>\n<li>Questions \u2013 what do I know? What do I need to know?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Research Process\n<ul>\n<li>Do you use a system?\n<ul>\n<li>Depends on question, of course<\/li>\n<li>Usually start general \u2013 google, ancestry.com, other trees, census<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Do you use a research log?\n<ul>\n<li>Query &amp; correspondence log<\/li>\n<li>Online search log \u2013 where, search terms, date, spelling variations, results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Do you use software?\n<ul>\n<li>Looks intriguing, but also sounds like duplicating work done with genealogy software<\/li>\n<li>Maybe to organize a really hard research problem?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Genealogical Proof Standard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cProof is a fundamental concept in genealogy. In order to merit confidence, each conclusion about an ancestor must have sufficient credibility to be accepted as &#8220;proved.&#8221; Acceptable conclusions, therefore, meet the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS).
