In Kansas, birth records AFTER July 1, 1911 are only available through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. There are no copies at the local level. You can find more information at http://www.kdheks.gov/vital/birth.html
For births between 1885 and 1911, records may have been kept at the county courthouse in ledger or register books. Many of these books have been moved to the Kansas Historical Society and microfilmed, but they don’t have any books from Sedgwick County.
According to the Sedgwick County website, there are no birth registers at the Sedgwick County courthouse. We do not know whether the registers still exist, or where they may be (but we’re hunting!)
