Snapshot of a woman with a portrait
Handwritten note on back says “Marguerite, The picture I’m standing by is of Pearl L. Rees, who was Dean of Women at Union College for many years, including the 4 yrs I attended U.C. (1923-1927) She was a dear, lovely person, and like “a second mother”. She was “related” to your mother, through Edward’s family I think. Her niece, Virginia Rees-Ogden lives in Lincoln and is a dear friend of mine. Her husband, Dr. Ed Ogden was from Wichita. His brother, Walter and Irene and I were all in 9th grade at Wichita SDA school (about 1917, I think). At that time Ed was in college. The picture mentioned above hangs in lobby of new Rees Hall, on Union College campus Love, your cousin, Elsie” There is a note “w/card from Elsie Nov 5, 1979”
