Outdoor snapshot of Gibson family (and others?) near Bethlehem
Handwritten label on back says "No 3. Here we are facing east towards Bethlehem with the early morning sun shining brightly in our faces so you cannot see how sweet & dear and interesting William looks because he had to squint so. Lorna & I couldn't face it at all. You are looking west & can see the picturesque little village Beit Jala on the neighboring hillside."
Outdoor snapshop of Gibson family (and others?) near a taxi
Handwritten label on back says "4. After worship and breakfast the children hustle off to school, Curtis and Paul on their bicycles and the other four in the taxi which we hire by the month. I am giving Evelyn a goodbye kiss and William is peeking at us out of the corner of his eye! I wish I had a good picture of him to send. This is by far the best looking picture of me that I've taken for years."
Snapshot of seven people in front of a large gate
Handwritten label on back says "No. 1. Taken 7:30 A.M. Oct 31 Dear Rosebell - Here we are, all in a row, in front of our front gate wishing you'd come along & stop & come in. Quite stiff & unnatural we look but it shows you our respective heights & the big iron gate with star & crescent & the pretty pine trees on each side of our walk. Mr. Breaden must have moved the Kodak a bit. How we do enjoy these beautiful grounds. Plenty of picnic places on our land & we make use of them."
