Handwritten label on front says “In Bethlehem at the Church of the Nativity” Handwritten note on back says “Christmas, 1978 Dear ones, Marguerite & John, Will send you one of these flash snapshots taken in Grotto of the Church. This is the scene of a wonderful event of almost 2,000 yrs ago. In the background, between us, is the ‘Holy Manger’ thought to be the one where Mary laid her first-born son, the Baby Jesus.” [Bible verse] Not far away is the Shepherds’ Field where the Angel appeared and announced to them the birth of ‘Christ, the Savior,’ and a choir of angels sang the glad tidings of Peace and Good-Will’ Wishing both of you a Happy and Blessed Christmas Sincerely, With love, Your cousin Elsie & Max Christianson Happy New Year!! as the Christmas wish will be belated now“
