Query:
I am searching for the death date of John H. Bowers and his wife, Mary. They are buried in the Pioneer cemetery in Cheney but have no markers. The current owners of the mortuary do not know where the old records are. I was given the lot numbers by a lady at the Cheney museum but she said there were no death dates recorded. From birthday cards, I figure John died in 1912 or 1913. By pictures and an obituary of their daughter, I assume Mary died after 1924 and before 1927.
Any help would be appreciated.

Query:
I am looking for any information on Zachariah Blackledge born abt. 1720. His parents were Phillip Blackledge (b: abt 1687) and Willemje Sluys. His grandparents were John Blackledge (b: abt 1626) and Elizabeth Webb Herbert. His great grandparents were John Blackleach ( born 1600 in Liverpool) and Elizabeth Bacon. I am trying to find out if the preceeding Zachariah Blackledge is the father or grandfather of my Zachariah Blackledge born July 28, 1767 and married to a Mary Gressett. My Zachariah and his family lived in Mississippi (I think they moved here from South Carolina). They had 11 children, but right now I have most of the information on them that I can use! Please help me with my last major piece of research. I have left messages just about everywhere! I want to surprise our relatives at our next "Big Day".

Query: The people I'm trying to get information on are my grandparents. Their names are Grace (HUNTER) SHAFFER and John Seth SHAFFER. I am not sure if they were married or born in the state of MO. I don't know their exact date of birth but I have an estimated time from the information I got from my father's birth certificate. My fathre's name is John Darrel SHAFFER. Grace (HUNTER) SHAFFER should have been born around 1877. I know she lived in Jefferson City, MO. John Seth SHAFFER should have been born around 1859. I know he lived in Monico, Kansas City, MO.
I would be very appreciative for any information regarding these people.

Query: Two relatives, Gustave BARTH and
Albert LEICHHARDT have biographies in
Cutler's History of Kansas, in the Sedgwick
Co, Afton Twp Section. See URL
http://raven.cc.ku.edu/~hisite/kancoll/books/cutler/sedgwick/sedgwick-co-p29.html#AFTON TOWNSHIP.
Both biographies mention the men were
members of the school board, and G. Barth
was also an Afton Twp Trustee. Are there
any records of these organization from this
time which survive? Don't particularly need
genealogical data for these men, but am
always interested in collecting personal
details. Several of Albert's daughters were
teachers, and I've heard his mother Dora
Clausen Leichhardt was also involved in
education. Would love confirmation of this.
